A panel count and project location alone may leave important quotation assumptions unresolved. The delivery team needs to understand the loads, supply arrangement, installation location and whether the request covers design and assembly only or also site installation, testing and commissioning. You do not need every detail at the first enquiry; distinguish confirmed inputs from items that still need review.
Start with a one-page project summary
State the panel’s purpose: a new installation, expansion or replacement. Include its location, the design reviewer, target programme and a contact responsible for supplying information. For an operating facility, flag access or outage constraints that may affect surveys and installation. This summary helps define the scope; it is not an engineering design.
Attach available records and identify their revision
| Input | Why it helps | If it is missing |
|---|---|---|
| Single-line diagram | Shows the documented relationship between the panel, supply and main circuits. | Mark it as unavailable and agree how existing connections will be verified. |
| Load schedule and equipment requirements | Sets out known loads and uses for discussion. | Share the equipment list and identify values still to be confirmed. |
| Site plan and proposed panel location | Supports discussion of space, access and connection routes. | Send preliminary dimensions and photos, clearly marked unapproved. |
| Project specification and earlier drawings | Shows approved requirements and interfaces with other work. | Identify who will issue and review them. |
Include the drawing revision and date where available, so the quotation refers to a clear version. Do not present a photograph or rough sketch as an approved design record.
Define responsibilities and deliverables
Clarify whether the quotation includes load assessment and component selection, panel assembly and internal wiring, site installation, testing and commissioning. Identify who approves drawings, coordinates permits and outages, and receives handover documents. Agree how later changes or missing data will be recorded and priced before work proceeds.
When records are incomplete, share what is available with a list of open questions instead of filling gaps with unsupported assumptions. A document review or site assessment may be the first agreed step. Qualified specialists must establish the final design, safe work arrangements and applicable project requirements.
FLEZCO offers electrical panel design and installation within an agreed project scope. Share your available records and project location through request a quotation, and mark information awaiting confirmation.
